Terms & Conditions for Party Bookings

Cancellation Policy

We know things change and so we’ve offered a number of different options to enable you to cancel or reschedule your booking depending on how close to the event it is.

Rescheduling your booking

Our party booking system allows you to reschedule your existing booking up to 3 days before the event. Simply log-in to the party system and select a new booking date and time to see if there is an available slot. You can only reschedule your event once. Should you need to do this more than once, you will need to contact us at help@thelight.co.uk.

Cancelling at least 14 days before the booking

If you wish to cancel your booking you can receive a refund by logging into the party booking. You can either receive 75% refund back to your credit or debit card or you can receive 100% value of the booking in credits applied to your myLight account which you can use to pay for anything online including booking another party.

Cancelling less than 14 days before the booking

Unfortunately we cannot offer a refund in this instance. However, you will still be able to reschedule your party to another date, subject to availability. If you need any assistance, please contact us at help@thelight.co.uk.

Payment requirements

At the time of your booking, full payment needs to made for you chosen activities and any food and drink choices to secure your booking. All prices are inclusive of VAT and a VAT receipt is available with the booking.

Pre order confirmation

All information including; any food and drink pre-orders must be received 5 days prior to booking date. We cannot guarantee that all food items will be available at the time of your visit and we will discuss alternatives with you ahead of the food being prepared on the day of the event. However, in order to guarantee availability of food, we ask that you provide within 5 days of the booking.

Booking changes

Once your booking is confirmed, you will be able to change the date/time of the booking. However, if you wish to change the activities or the number of people, then you will need to cancel the booking and re-book.

Minimum spend

For group bookings (excluding kids parties) under 30 people, we require a minimum of £15.00 pp to be spent on food and drink which will be added at the time of booking. Bar tabs and pre-ordered items are included in the agreed spend for the hire and must therefore be used on the day and cannot be refunded or used at another time.

Supervision requirements

It is the responsibility of adults attending to supervise the children in their party. The following supervision ratios should be adhered to:

  • for children under 8 where there should be a minimum of 1 adult per 4 children
  • for children over 8 years of age there should be 1 adult per 8 children.

The expected length of the activity will be shown with the booking. Please note that not all kids party activities last for an hour and you should check the timings.

Behaviour and damage

You will ensure that any group bookings will not be conducted and that guests will not behave in a way which will cause a nuisance to The Light or other users in the Premises or constitute a breach of the law.

We reserve the right to turn down or cancel the entertainment, if, in our opinion, the proposed group booking is too loud and/or causing disturbance to other users of the venue.

At the end of the hire period, you shall remove from the venue anything which you have brought into the venue for the purposes of or in connection with the event and shall ensure that all rooms used are clean, undamaged and free from rubbish.
